This yummy breakfast cereal is a delicious, healthy way to start the day - perfect with milk, plain yoghurt or even on its own as a crunchy snack. This recipe makes about 10 serves.
1/4 cup carob powder
3 cups puffed millet
1 cup puffed rice
1 cup bran
handful of dry roasted almonds
1/2 cup roasted buckwheat
1/4 cup psyllium husk
1/4 cup LSA mix (optional)
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup of rice malt syrup
- Pre heat oven to 180
- Mix all dry ingredients together in large bowl
- Pour rice malt syrup into sml saucepan and stir over low heat for 1-2 minutes until watery consistency
- Pour into dry ingredients & mix syrup through until thoroughly combined
- Line an oven tray with foil or baking paper
- Spread a thin layer of mixture over tray and bake for 5 minutes
- Let cool & break up into small pieces
- Repeat baking until all mixture is toasted
- Store in air tight container for maximum freshness
